” I just traded a job of polishing an elderly lady’s silver for a Hiawatha 3 spd lady’s bike that was probably hanging in her garage for 20 years at least (she’s 82). It has dry-rotted tires, but that’s about all. No rust except for a little surface rust around the spoke holes on the rims. I bet if I put a fresh tube in each tire, it would probably be okay to ride!”

” I was wondering if you could tell me how much it is worth. I’d upload a picture but don’t know how to do that.”

” Since I moved to New Orleans, I wanted a bike to ride, but now that I think about this one, I don’t want it around the city because it would get banged up and it is so classy that I don’t want to take the chance. I would rather sell it.”
Thanx.

” I also got a lady’s Schwinn of the same age, which has a rusty sprocket, rims, pedals, double rear baskets, and basket supports, and the kickstand fell off (missing a bolt I believe). It is a standard bike with only a front brake, no gears that I am aware of.”
Thanx.
